1. Introduction

Fudii ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Fudii application (the "App").

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By accessing or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all the terms of this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Personal Data

When you register an account, we collect:

Name and email address
Account credentials
Profile information (height, weight, age, gender)
Health and wellness goals
Payment information (processed securely through our payment provider)

If you join the launch list on our website, we collect only your email address, and use it to tell you when the App is available. To be removed, email privacy@fudii.ai.

2.2 Usage Data

We collect information about how you use the App:

Food logs and nutritional data
Interactions with your AI coach
Exercise and activity information
Device information (device type, operating system, IP address)
App usage statistics

2.3 Image Data

When you use our food recognition feature:

We process images of food that you take
These images may be temporarily stored to improve recognition accuracy
Images may be analyzed by AI services to identify food items and portion sizes

2.4 Barcode Scans

When you scan a product barcode, the camera reads the code on your device. We receive only the barcode number, which we use to look up the product's nutrition information in food databases (such as Open Food Facts and Edamam). No photo is taken or stored in barcode mode.

2.5 Voice Input

Voice logging is optional and uses the microphone only while you are dictating. Your speech is converted to text by the speech recognition service built into your device (on Android typically Google's, on iOS Apple's), which may process audio on its own servers under its own privacy policy. Fudii does not receive or store the audio. We receive only the text of the food you say or type, which we send to a food database to find its nutrition information. You can decline the permission and type instead.

2.6 Health Connect (Android)

Syncing steps is optional and only happens when you choose to sync. If you do, we ask Health Connect for permission to read your step count, and nothing else. We read your total steps for today and store that number against your account as that day's step count.

We use it to show your steps, your progress toward your step goal and your daily summary, and it may be included with your other wellness data when you use the AI coach so its answers reflect your activity.
We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or use it to decide credit, insurance or employment eligibility.
We do not share it with anyone other than service providers that host or process it for us to run the App, including the AI service that powers the coach.
You can withdraw access at any time in Health Connect settings (Apps, then Fudii). Steps already synced stay in your account until you delete your account or ask us to delete them at privacy@fudii.ai.

The speech recognition service on your device (Google on Android, Apple on iOS), if you use voice input
Business partners with your consent
Legal authorities when required by law

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

6. Your Data Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Access your personal data
Correct inaccurate data
Delete your data
Restrict or object to processing
Data portability
Withdraw consent

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date.
